Selling our longtime home at 36 Toner Road in Boonton wasn't a decision we took lightly, and we're so glad we had Glen Baker and the MorrisAgent team at RE/MAX in our corner. From listing day all the way to closing, Glen stayed on top of every moving piece and made sure we always knew what was happening next.
What really stood out was how he handled the inspection. The buyers came back with a list — the pool pump, the water heater, plumbing, etc — and instead of letting any of it derail the sale, Glen calmly worked through each item with us and our attorney. He lined up a plumber to take care of the repairs, he even took car of sheetrock restoration and color match painting, and kept everything documented so nothing slipped through the cracks. When a few moments felt overwhelming, he made them simple.
If you're thinking about selling a home in Boonton or anywhere in Morris County, we can't recommend Glen and his real estate team highly enough. He's responsive, honest, and genuinely fights for his clients from start to close. Thank you for everything, Glen!

Exceptional Professionalism & Elite Problem-Solving! We hired Glen Baker to handle our home sale in East Rutherford, and he exceeded our expectations at every turn. From day one, his preparation was flawless—delivering a data-driven strategy and a brilliant digital marketing campaign that landed us a phenomenal offer right after our first open house weekend. Where Glen truly separates himself is his execution and relentless problem-solving. When the buyer's home inspection uncovered major issues with the sewer line and electrical system, Glen didn't panic. He took the reins, coordinated all the necessary contractors, and kept the timeline perfectly on track. He even stepped up to personally ensure our contractors were paid immediately when a closing delay threatened our timeline, absorbing all the stress so we didn’t have to. Glen is a master communicator who protects his clients' interests with absolute integrity. If you want a smooth, stress-free real estate experience in New Jersey, call Glen Baker.

Sticker shock keeping you on the sidelines? Condos might help.
The median condo sold for $380,000 in June, while the median single-family home went for $446,400. That's a gap of more than $66,000.
Part of that is because condos are usually smaller. But that's exactly the point. Smaller square footage can mean a smaller price tag.
So, if you can make less space work for your life, it may work for your budget, too.
For a lot of buyers, especially first-timer buyers, a condo or townhome is the difference between waiting and owning.
Curious what condos and townhomes are selling for in our area? Drop a comment or send me a DM, and I'll put together a list that fits your budget.

At 53, I’ve stopped thinking about age as something that’s happening to me.
I think of it as something that’s happening for me.
Your 20s are about figuring out who the hell you are.
Your 30s are about chasing what you think matters.
Your 40s are about realizing some of it never did.
And then you hit 50.
Something changes.
You start protecting your time.
You stop collecting people just to have people.
You care less about being understood.
You realize health is an asset, not an assumption.
You start choosing experiences over stuff.
You say what you mean.
You love harder.
You forgive faster.
And you become painfully aware that the clock isn’t the enemy…
wasting it is.
I’m 53.
I don’t wish I was 33.
That guy had more time ahead of him, but he didn’t understand its value nearly as much as I do now.
Every scar came with a lesson.
Every loss changed the way I love.
Every mistake sharpened me.
Every year stripped away a little more bullshit.
Growing older isn’t the tragedy.
Getting older without actually living would be.
53 isn’t a countdown.
It’s a catalyst.
There is still shit I want to build.
Places I want to see.
People I want to help.
Mountains I want to climb.
Memories I haven’t made yet.
I’m not trying to get my youth back.
I’m trying to make damn sure I don’t waste what comes next.

Headlines highlighting rising foreclosures have a way of stirring up 2008 flashbacks. But the data says not to panic.
We’re nowhere near what happened back then.
In the first half of 2008, foreclosures were filed on over 1.3 million homes. The first half of this year that number was less than 250k.
Now, seeing any homeowner go through this is hard. There’s no arguing that.
But just looking at the market as a whole, we’re a long way from crash territory – even with the recent uptick. So, don’t let the headlines stir up fear.

The beach fire just hits differently.
Fire department friendships are different.
Most people meet their closest friends through work, their neighborhood, or their kids.
Ours are built in situations that demand trust, reliability, and showing up for each other.
Over time, those friendships become family. You vacation together, celebrate life’s milestones together, and are there when life gets hard.
I’m grateful for the people in my life and that fire service has given me. Some of the best people in my life came from walking through this journey together.
They are the constant and like one of them says “these are the good old times”

For the 14th year in a row, Americans say real estate is the best long-term investment.
Think about that. Through rising rates, market swings, and all the noise, real estate keeps taking the top spot. That kind of staying power is hard to argue with.
And it makes sense. A home is the one investment that grows your wealth and gives you a place to build your life.
So, what would you pick as the best long-term investment? Drop it in the comments.
And if buying a home is on your mind, send me a message. Let’s talk about what that first step could look like.

One of the biggest seller myths floating around right now is that buyers have disappeared.
The headlines certainly make it feel that way.
But here's what the data actually says.
More homes are going under contract right now than they were at this point the last two years.
And here's how that's possible. Life doesn't wait for perfect mortgage rates. People still get married. Families grow. Jobs change.
At some point, waiting becomes harder than moving. So serious buyers still take the plunge.
So, if you've been wondering whether there are still buyers out there...
There are.
The key is knowing how to position your house to stand out in today's market. Send me a message if you want some advice on what it would take to get your house sold right now.
