Selling our longtime home at 36 Toner Road in Boonton wasn't a decision we took lightly, and we're so glad we had Glen Baker and the MorrisAgent team at RE/MAX in our corner. From listing day all the way to closing, Glen stayed on top of every moving piece and made sure we always knew what was happening next.
What really stood out was how he handled the inspection. The buyers came back with a list — the pool pump, the water heater, plumbing, etc — and instead of letting any of it derail the sale, Glen calmly worked through each item with us and our attorney. He lined up a plumber to take care of the repairs, he even took car of sheetrock restoration and color match painting, and kept everything documented so nothing slipped through the cracks. When a few moments felt overwhelming, he made them simple.
If you're thinking about selling a home in Boonton or anywhere in Morris County, we can't recommend Glen and his real estate team highly enough. He's responsive, honest, and genuinely fights for his clients from start to close. Thank you for everything, Glen!

Exceptional Professionalism & Elite Problem-Solving! We hired Glen Baker to handle our home sale in East Rutherford, and he exceeded our expectations at every turn. From day one, his preparation was flawless—delivering a data-driven strategy and a brilliant digital marketing campaign that landed us a phenomenal offer right after our first open house weekend. Where Glen truly separates himself is his execution and relentless problem-solving. When the buyer's home inspection uncovered major issues with the sewer line and electrical system, Glen didn't panic. He took the reins, coordinated all the necessary contractors, and kept the timeline perfectly on track. He even stepped up to personally ensure our contractors were paid immediately when a closing delay threatened our timeline, absorbing all the stress so we didn’t have to. Glen is a master communicator who protects his clients' interests with absolute integrity. If you want a smooth, stress-free real estate experience in New Jersey, call Glen Baker.

289 segments in a year.
Not as a pilot.
As the guy the company kept putting on airplanes.
On paper, it looked glamorous.
The valet parked the cars.
Always first class seats.
The lounge had free food and drinks.
People think that’s the good part.
It wasn’t.
The lounge wasn’t a perk. It was a hiding place.
Airport.
Boardroom.
Dinner.
Hotel.
Airport.
Repeat.
My peak year was 289 flight segments. That’s almost six flights every week of the year.
Want to know what I learned?
* Nobody lies on their deathbed wishing they’d earned one more airline status level.
* The hotel rooms all blur together. The people you missed don’t.
* Busy isn’t the same as important.
* Most meetings could have been a phone call.
* The real luxury isn’t flying first class. It’s sleeping in your own bed.
* Success that costs your life outside of work is an expensive trade.
* And perhaps the biggest lesson… don’t confuse movement with progress.
Today, I still work hard.
But I work a lot harder protecting what all those flights taught me to value.
Because after 289 segments, I realized the destination that mattered most was home

A lot of buyers and sellers are holding back right now because they're worried we're headed for another 2008. But look at the numbers.
In 2008, homeowner equity and mortgage debt were nearly identical. That means, if someone hit a rough patch, they had almost nothing to fall back on. That's part of what made that crash so bad.
Today? Home equity is at $34.9 trillion. Debt is at $14.4 trillion. So, homeowners aren't stuck. They have equity built up in their homes – which means if they needed to sell, many could and they’d still come out ahead. They have a cushion.
This isn’t a crash. Today’s market still has a solid foundation.
And if worries about a crash have been keeping you on the sidelines, it might be worth having a conversation about what a move could look like for you right now.

More homeowners are pulling their houses off the market right now. But don’t let that rattle your own plans to sell.
Yes, delistings are up. But relistings are climbing right alongside them. So, most of those sellers are simply taking a short pause to reset before putting the house back on the market.
That usually means stepping back to do a few repairs, taking fresh photos, bringing in staging, or adjusting to a better price. It’s a regroup, not a retreat.
So, if your house is sitting (not selling), treat it as your cue to listen to buyer feedback and adjust.
Because this isn’t a sign of broader housing market trouble. It just shows that sellers need to meet the market where it is.
