Your Life Changed. Maybe Your Address Should Too.
You may be telling yourself you’re going to wait to move.
Wait for rates to drop.
Wait for prices to soften.
Wait for the market to “feel better.”
And I get it. A lot of people are thinking the same thing right now.
But here’s the problem.
Waiting usually doesn’t fix the reason you wanted to move in the first place.
Your family still needs more space.
That empty nest still feels too quiet.
Your parents still need you closer.
You still got married. Or divorced.
Retirement still looks different than the life you’re living today.
Life keeps moving whether the market cooperates or not.
That’s why plenty of people are still buying and selling right now. Not because rates are perfect. Not because the market is easy. But because their life changed… and the house they’re in no longer fits it.
According to the National Association of Realtors, 1 in 5 buyers last year said they felt like they HAD to move regardless of market conditions.
Think about that for a second.
Because eventually the pain of staying stuck becomes bigger than the fear of making a move.
And here’s the part a lot of people are missing…
Inventory has been rising for 4 straight years. Buyers finally have more options. In some cases, more negotiating power too. That doesn’t mean affordability magically disappeared. But it DOES mean opportunities exist for people willing to look at the market strategically instead of emotionally.
The real question may not be:
“When will the market get perfect?”
It may be:
“How much longer can I keep forcing my current situation to work?”
Because life doesn’t pause for mortgage rates.
If your current home no longer fits your life, your goals, or your future… it may be time to at least explore what’s possible.
No surprises, ever.
